We Got Married may just be a show, but it looks like CNBLUE’s Yonghwa and SNSD’s Seohyun are taking their “love” outside of filming. A few observant netizens recently pointed out that both idols have been seen with their couple rings outside of WGM filming, specifically on a number of music shows.
On last week’s episode of Music Bank, which aired on February 12, both idols were clearly captured with their couple rings on their fingers:
Rumor has it that this on-air appearance of couple rings may be a couple mission produced by We Got Married’s PD; after all, both idols do seem to be freely wearing their bands for the camera to easily capture.
Does this reveal anything important about their relationship? Probably not. Do some netizens have too much time on their hands? Apparently. But is it cute enough to get fans interested in what’s to come? Yes! Thanks to sachiko erin for the tip, and stay tuned for the broadcast of the first episode.
This is getting interesting, but i think a lot of fans will faint while watching Yong Hwa on We Got Married. Be it the shock of Yong Hwa being nice to another girl, or the sweetness of Yong Hwa, we will all faint anyway.
Haha. 2 more weeks to March... It's still a long time!...
Can't wait to see them host! Hope they will do well!
All along, they have had minor nervous outbreak in all the backstage interviews and all, so i hope to see them confident and relax on the hosting this time!

OurYong Hwa will be getting married with Seo Hyun, the magnae from SNSD, on the show WE GOT MARRIED.
For all those that has no idea what is it, it's actually a variety show where celebrities are paired up to become make-believe married couples and they will be filmed through their "daily lives" (but it's only once a week actually) through hidden cameras.. They will of course, treat it as real dating/marriage on the show and they will show the romantic and sweet side of them.
Of course i wanna see how Yong Hwa is as a male date, but with Seo Hyun? Though i don't have any negative feelings against her, but i really don't see how the both of them match each other!
I think Yong Hwa would be better off with another match...
Read this from allkpop:
CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa and SNSD’s Seohyun become new We Got Married couple!
It’s official! CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yong Hwa and SNSD’s maknae Seohyun have been cast in MBC’s We Got Married as the show’s newest virtually married couple!

Following the footsteps Jo Kwon and Ga-In, they will be the second idol-x-idol couple for We Got Married Season 2.
Will these two loving birds defeat the infamous Jo Kwon – Ga-In wave? I guess we’ll just have to sit tight!

*update* And:
Two of the top celebrities have come together to be the next couple featured in the TV show, “We Got Married.”
CN Blues’ leader Jung Yong Hwa and SNSD’s youngest member Seohyun have been announced as a new couple in the, “We Got Married” TV show.
The Jung Yong Hwa the leader of CN Blues who’ve been gathering popularity with their song, “Loner” and the already popular with their new album, “Oh” SNSD’s, Seohyun will meet as a imaginary couples in the show, “We Got Married.” Due to both star’s incredible popularity, this imaginary marriage is attracting a lot of attention.
These two officially started shooting in Kyongido, Ilsan on the Feb.12 and even though the first shoot went smoothly as planned, the possibility of the two star actually becoming a actual couple due to natural attraction is becoming a big news.
Jung Yong Hwa, who was born in 1989, came on the show called, “You're Beautiful” and was marked by a lot of viewers. With the recent release of the song, “Loner,” and appearance on the show, “Sunday Sunday Night,” Jung Yong Hwa’s popularity sky rocketed.

There were rumours about Yong Hwa being casted on this show before this official notice, and though i didn't believe he would because of his already super packed schedule with C.N.Blue duties as well as weekly appearances on ECO HOUSE and also Dreamteam.
I think that the management should actually bring forward members like Jong Hyun and Jung Shin rather than further overload Yong Hwa, who's already super popular to start with.
Sigh, before we pass anymore judgements about this decision and about Seo Hyun, lets watch their first day together and decide after that...
Though i'm still very disappointed to hear of this.. lol..
Amidst news that SNSD SeoHyun and C.N.Blue Jung YongHwa have been confirmed as a new couple on MBC We Got Married 2, many netizens also raised their voices about it.
Some netizens linked it to incidents of C.N Blue’s recent plagiarism accusations and manager’s violent behaviour to fans, “Too much noise and news about Jung YongHwa”, “He should just have stopped at drama” etc.
And about SeoHyun’s appearance on the show, “She just recently graduated from high school, isn’t it wrong for a teenager to be involved such a program on marriage?”, “Even though SeoHyun is good, but I don’t think she is cut out for variety shows” etc.
Also previously on a variety show, SeoHyun revealed that “Sweet potatoes are better than men” showing no interests in men. With that many netizens’ stand is, “I object to this marriage”, “Rather, get a sweet potato on the show” etc.
There also netizens who are worried that SeoHyun’s appearance on the show may also hurt her image as even before the show is aired, there is so much negativity against this new couple.
Speaking of it, i remember Yong Hwa mentioning that he likes Tiffany from SNSD and wants to have a cup of coffee with her some time~... SO what is this?
He will be amongst the popular males for the EMCEE-ing at M! Countdown! which will air on 18th February, this coming thursday!
Really glad that the other members are slowly stepping up into the big screen individually!
Read this article from allkpop:
Mnet M! Countdown’s comeback has been catching a number of people’s attention, but this will definitely get your attention: it’s been confirmed that members from kpop’s hottest groups, 2AM, 2PM, CNBLUE and MBLAQ will be hosting this music show!
Starting on February 18, M! Countdown will feature 2PM’s Nichkhun, Junho & Chansung, 2AM’s Jo Kwon & Jinwoon, CNBLUE’s Min Hyuk and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon & G.O, dubbed the “MCD GUYZ (엠씨디 가이즈)”… talk about testosterone overdose!
Mnet will implement a rotation system in which a combination of three or four MCs will be featured each episode, taking a step away from the fixed duo-trio system that we see on other shows. This distinct approach undoubtedly creates a unique stage system that will be anticipated by its audience.
CP Kim Giung said,
“These 8 guys represent and are icons of Korea’s music industry in the 20th century … Advocating a global music show (mnet is going to be broadcast globally), we thought that these MC’s would be able to make our domestic music industry a hot trend by being accurate and quick on their feet.”
The February 18 broadcast will also feature a special MC performance stage with all eight members, which is already highly anticipated; this episode is expected to be overwhelmed with viewers.
Furthermore, the “Icons of the 20th Century” had a photoshoot in early February for the fashion magazine Singles. The shoot took up fourteen pages of the eight idols and included a funny interview. The Singles issue will be released on the 19th (Feb), a day after M!Countdown’s first broadcast on the 18th.
So there are several things that we will be looking forward to!
1. The joint performance by all 8 emcees including Min Hyuk on 18th Feb 2. MinHyuk's emceeing on the show-- hopefully it'll be the first episode! 3. The super hot issue of 14 pages of the 8 idols and the funny interview on 19th Feb!
CONGRATULATIONS TO MINHYUK and he looks really hot in the promo pic!
Wish him luck for his first MC gig! Hopefully, he will do his Yong Hwa hyung proud ;)!
Seems like C.N.Blue is having an equal share of success and woes through their debut. Having enough controversies revolving around their popular hit song I'm A Loner, as well as very nonsensical accuses of plagiarism on their group name C.N.Blue as well as Yong Hwa's "fake" (not) story on Strong Heart, now they are, or more like, the company is facing another issue of assault of fans.
Read:
New boy band CNBLUE is in the middle of yet another controversy as their manager is being accused of physically assaulting fans who were gathered around the group’s vehicle.
It all began when a video surfaced on the Korean web a few days ago. The video contained footage of a man, apparently CNBLUE’s manager, wielding his hand into a throng of fans and clearly slapping a girl’s head twice as the group members exited from a parked van. Jong Hyun, who was the first to exit the van, made an awkward smile as he looked into the crowd.
As this footage became popular among Korean netizens, CNBLUE’s management company FCN Music quickly responded with a statement.
They explained, “The event happened on the 11th. CNBLUE tried to enter KBS building for a rehearsal but too many fans were in the way. Even with the help of security guards we could not secure the way into the building so the group [CNBLUE] decided to help out. As that was happening, a fan almost tripped Jong Hyun by grabbing on and pulling his hoodie, to which the manager reacted violently.”
They apologized by saying, “Our entire staff apologizes to fans about what had taken place; the manager has been given appropriate punishment and nothing like this will ever happen again.”
As with Jong Hyun smiling, they explained, “Jong Hyun was smiling about the situation where he almost fell down, not at the fans getting beaten. He did not see the beating take place.”
With plagiarism accusations already breathing down their necks, this new boy band is under fire once again.
I hope the management will really show their professionalism in handling fans after this incident.
I am rather surprised to hear this! Yong Hwa and Lee Joon from MBLAQ are actually very close friends! From what i read, i presume that they actually knew each other from school days and they made it to the showbiz together ;)
Since both are two of my favourites, I can't be more happy to hear that :)
I don't really know MBLAQ very well, but i just watched them on IDOL ARMY. I must say, MIR is really crazy and very hyper, and to compare Yong Hwa to him, i think it's really not imaginable. Lol. But i can tell that Yong Hwa is the fun maker and the one who always bring the mood up, though calling him wild would still be too exaggerating.

Also, on the recent appearance on Star Golden Bell, Yong Hwa was the centre of attraction amongst girls!
Read this:
In the show SNSD’s Hyoyeon, T-ara’s Eunjung, and comedian Jung Joori all chose Jung Yong Hwa as the person they would want to introduce to their parents on New Year’s Day. Hyoyeon complimented, “He looks handsome and acts well too.” Eunjung agreed with Hyoyeon and added, “He looks like the type to sing and play the guitar for you.”
Meanwhile, Jung Joori commented, “My parents already know about SHINee’s Onew, 2AM’s Jinwoon, and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon. This year I want to introduce my parents to new idols that catch my attention,” sending waves of implication to the CNBLUE member.
However, Jung Yong Hwa showed no interest in the three girls as he only had eyes for SNSD’s Tiffany, saying that “Tiffany is the epitome of cuteness. I want to drink coffee with her sometime.”

Wow, he made it loud and clear he has interest in Tiffany. Jealous? haha. I hope C.N.Blue fans are sensible enough to not go attack Tiffany's minihompy or smth like that..
C.N.Blue's Jung Yonghwa expressed, "I wish to wipe away the memories of the Public Nuisance MC."
Jung Yonghwa spoke of the subject on the upcoming broadcast of KBS 2TV "Star Golden Bell" on February 13.
The music industry's greatest anticipation in 2010, CNBlue's Jung Yonghwa revealed that he was given the nickname, 'Public Nuisance MC'.
At the recording, MC Jun Hyun Moo asked, "Does Jung Yonghwa have something he would like to discard after debuting?" The received reply was, "The nickname, Public Nuisance MC, from a music festival."
The dizzy memories of newbie Jung Yonghwa as an MC at the last SBS Music Festival were brought up. He willingly disclosed, "I was so nervous I couldn't find the cameras and that came on screen," causing the guests to burst into laughter.
"When there are 2 parts to a show, cue cards of the first half should be left behind. However, I brought both the first and second to stage. I couldn't find the right page and broke out into cold sweat as a result," Jung Yonghwa said, causing a sea of laughter at the recording studio.
This episode will be broadcasted on February 13 at 5:15PM.

Plagiarism has again emerged as a hot issue in the Korean music scene after star composer Kim Do-hun was accused of plagiarizing a song by an indie band. Netizens accuse Kim of having copied parts of the song “Blue Bird” by indie band Ynot for his song “I’m a loner,” which he composed for the indie band CNBLUE. To support their claims, they have uploaded text and clips of the two songs to the Web.
Meanwhile, a group of netizens has started gathering signatures for an online petition urging Kim to leave the music industry because, they say, he has built his career with plagiarized songs.
“Kim wrote a song titled ‘Lie’ for Gavy NJ and it was pretty much the same as Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Brave,’” a person with the screen name Rasmus wrote on the site Agora, a major online debate forum operated by local search engine Daum. “There were also similarities between Kim’s ‘8282’ [sung by Davichi] and Mika’s ‘Happy Ending.’ The list goes on.”
Rasmus launched the signature campaign against Kim. As of yesterday morning, 3,181 netizens had signed on.
Another of Kim’s songs, “Can’t Forget” sung by Kim Jong-kook, is said to have an introduction that is similar to that of Usher’s “Love in This Club.”
Kim refuted the allegations in a statement issued earlier this week.
“There are so many similar songs because they all belong to the same genre,” the statement said.
Kim began his career in 1995 and since then has composed songs for many of the nation’s A-list singers, including Lee Hyo-ri, Lee Seung-ki, SES, SG Wannabe, Big Mama and Fly to the Sky.
In his statement, Kim also implored netizens to stop making assumptions about his work.

Previously, crazy netizens have already caused many uproars in the Korean Pop industry, the most famous one being JAEBEOM leaving 2PM. There were also many cases where they even had petitions to wish some celebrities dead, Jaebeom included.
Now, they are trying to drive yet another contributive musician to the corner. Plagiarism is an issue between the composers and the companies; what audience receives are 2 versions of a nice piece of music and it doesn't concern us directly that the songs are similar. So even if some of us are strongly against plagiarism, or what it seems like to me, ACTING like we are so against it, it still doesn't affect us even a microbit.
SO, crazy netizens should just stop it. It's none of their business. Creating more sadness rather than creating more happiness. Sadistic, i would say.
---------------------------------
This is what Kim has to say about the allegations again.
The songwriter of the hit song by four-member group CNBLUE, has denied the allegations that he copied the indie band Ynot's song "Blue Bird".
"I have not deceived my conscience," said composer Kim Do-hoon in an interview with the Hankook Ilbo. "I have never heard of the song `Blue Bird.' I did not plagiarize it."
He said Ynot sent him a letter to claim that CNBLUE's "I'm a Loner" is similar to its song in melody and rhythm ― a usual step needed before filing a suit.
Yet, Kim denied the accusations, saying the two songs are different in rhythm and melodies as a whole.
"Those who know music will be able to easily figure out that the two songs are in the same genre but are completely different," he said.
He said the plagiarism accusation is not based on logical evidence.
"The fame I have built over the last 15 years collapsed in a moment. The singers are damaged but the biggest victim is the songwriter,"Kim said.
He said a professional copyrights institute needs to be established to determine the truth of plagiarism allegations.
"I hope there will be countermeasures to make sure there will be no victims like me going forward."
Kim said he does not understand why Ynot has not yet filed a suit.
The noise surrounding the plagiarism accusation is getting louder as it pits the supporters of indie bands against those backing the rising band and established music groups.
Some Internet users are holding an online campaign to boycott the composer, claiming that it is not the first time that he has been involved in plagiarism disputes.
Thousands of netizens have signed the online campaign to evict Kim from the music scene at portal Daum's Agora Web site.
Rocker Shin Hae-chul has added fuel to the disputes by posting comments that slam CNBLUE for alleged plagiarism. "If the song ("I'm a Loner'') is not plagiarism, plagiarism will disappear in the world,'' Shin said.
CNBLUE, which is sweeping music charts with its debut song, is comprised of guitarist and lead singer Jung Yong-hwa, guitarist and vocalist Lee Jong-hyun, drummer Kang Min-hyuk and bass guitarist Lee Jung-shin.

You know what, just, whatever~ This issue is getting out of hands.
Earlier on, we showed you the cut of Yong Hwa on Strong Heart telling his funny story about his first date in Seoul, and right after, there was a scandal, created by yet another irritating netizen to say that Yong Hwa's story was COPIED from him ((&#@!_@#*&@#@) (see post #59)
However, FNC and C.N.BLUE spoke up for our poor Yong Hwa and I am so glad they gave so much support towards their leader!
Jung Yong Hwa's Company Clears Up Scandal Through this event, Jung Yong Hwa's company stated, "This is a real event that Jung Yong Hwa went through" and continued, "It's probably because a lot of people who has a dialect goes through similar situations".
C.N.BLUE comments on Strong Heart Scandal At first, all the blame was poured on Jung Yong Hwa but the arrow has been pointed to Strong Heart's writing team and now it has turned to the staff.
C.N.BLUE explained,"It's been awhile since Yonghwa filmed " and continued, "It's ridiculous to say that he said someone else's story. It's a situation that he went through himself."

Despite all the nonsensical scandals, there are good news for C.N.BLUE!
CNBLUE - 3 CF Contracts in 2 Weeks Through their single, rock band C.N.BLUE pulled an allkill (tops all) on all the music charts and now the "BLUESTORM" has continued into the CF (spokesperson/advertisement) world. After debuting for only 2 weeks, C.N.BLUE gained the new nickname of the "BLUECHIP" in the CF world as they signed as models for 3 different companies.
C.N.BLUE's company FNCMUSIC revealed, "We signed as models for casual clothing brands "NII" and "THE SUIT HOUSE" and most recently, we signed a contract with the "PurpleBird" clothing brand."
C.N.BLUE debuted as CF models for clothing brand "NII" whose previous models included Super Junior and Big Bang and is a company known for showcasing "rising stars". "The Suit House"'s former model was Jang Geun Suk and now C.N.BLUE is their new image.
C.N.BLUE's fresh image along with their appeal to the masses gave them a high value causing many lovecalls*(offers) from CF companies.
FNC MUSIC commented, "We have even more requests from CF companies at the moment. We believe we will be able to give a new announcement in a short while".
Before debuting, Jung Yong Hwa's drama "You're Beautiful" garnered attention and C.N.BLUE won No. 1 on KBS MUSIC BANK on the 29th and the SBS Mutizen Award on the 31st, realizing the "BLUESTORM" effect and proving themselves as "Powerful Newcomers". Even last week when they held their first signing event, thousands of fans came to see the stars.
Also, they will be holding their first live concert, and it would be held in Japan!
CNBLUE to hold first live concert in Japan C.N.BLUE made a strong debut last month but they actually made their debut first in Japan, which is why they’ll be holding their first live concert there next month.
They’ve come a long way since the days where they used to perform live gigs on the streets of Tokyo. CNBLUE has definitely hit it big in the k-pop scene but they’ll never forget where it all started as they’ll be returning to Japan to perform at Club Quattro in Shibuya.
A representative of their label FNC Music said, “We have future plans of dedicating at least a year to live concerts in Japan.“
Who is C.N. Blue’s ideal girlgroup to perform with? C.N Blue showed their individual charms at the recent filming of tvN ENEWS ‘Behind Star’.
Only debuted for 2 weeks, C.N Blue climbed to the top of various charts and won #1 before attending the filming. Jung YongHwa humbly expressed, “It feels refreshing.”
It is a fact that Jung YongHwa received a lot of love from drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ as the Towel Man and Milk Man, which gained C.N Blue tremendous attention before their debut. The team from ‘You’re Beautiful’ attended C.N Blue’s showcase, showing the close friendship that they held.
Jung Yonghwa expressed that strong love rival, Jang Geun Suk, is a “hyung with good leadership who takes a good care of his dongsaengs.” He revealed about the casting, “I was constantly active in the indie scene but I went to try out for the drama. The character, Kang Shinwoo, is also a guitarist in the band, so it seemed like a good opportunity.”
Besides Jung Yonghwa, the other members too are skillful. The members have already been living together for 3 years. They revealed that the respective first impressions of each other were, ‘Jung Yonghwa the young noble’, ‘Kang Minhyuk the good student’, ‘Lee Jonghyun the young Busan man who often got lost’ and ‘really tall Lee Jungshin’.
In regards to the topic of ulzzangs, Jung Yonghwa expressed, “We don’t have famous ulzzangs. We just somehow ended up in ulzzang sites; amongst the 4 of us, I am the most famous ulzzang,” showing his mischievious side.
Before their debut, CNBlue went to Japan to study indie music and through the 100 over street performances, they built up their skills and stage manners. However, it was not easy living in Japan where they could not communicate.
“There were instances when there were no fans at our performances. They didn’t even look and just went past,” CNBlue revealed of their activities in Japan, “Slowly, our performances started to gather fans one by one.”
Even though CNBlue picked Lee Jonghyun as the most good-looking member, he was ranked the last of a popularity poll with Jung Yonghwa on top. Jung Yonghwa responded, “This is because Jonghyun’s charms couldn’t be seen yet.” Together, CNBlue disclosed the cleanest member, the member who is the most different on and off-screen, their ideal girls, etc.
On their ideal girls, Kang Minhyuk does not care about looks and likes someone he feels comfortable with; Jung Yonghwa: a feminine girl with a pretty smile; Lee Jonghyun: a matured older woman; and Lee Jungshin: a feminine girl who is cute at the same time.
As for the girl group they would like to perform with, Kang Minhyuk chose the Wonder Girls, Jung Yonghwa: Girls’ Generation; Lee Jonghyun: 2NE1; and Lee Jungshin: Fin.K.L.
CNBlue’s response to “The fragrance and colour of the band that you’d like to show a lot,” was, “a ceaselessly developing image.”
CNBlue’s honest stories of the first time they held their instruments, a 100% live performance and self-cameras will revealed at “Behind the Star” on 9 February at 9PM on tvN.
Our cutie Jung Shin has graduated from high school! Out of the 3 youngest, he was the only one who could attend his high school graduation because they had a schedule on last friday on KBS Musicbank, so Min Hyuk and Jong Hyun could not attend their graduation, which is rather sad.
I think Jung Shin looks really pretty here, like a girl!
Due to their pretty faces, Magazine1 has listed C.N.Blue as 2010 New Handsome faces, with comparison to FCUZ.
Some of us might not know that, fans can leave messages for C.N.BLUE members on their site and this system is "UFO". And least we expect, that, they actually will reply to the messages! OMO :) Yong hwa has been rather active with replying fan messages and Jong Hyun did too. I will try to get translation:
fan:________
jong hyun: i like this.
fan: __________
yong hwa: he he he he (loL! he so cute)
fan: saranghae
yong hwa: na du (me too)
*omo.....*
Are we seeing the same fan getting replied for all the messages? Omo, so lucky! I shall figure out how do we leave fan messages on their board! :)

Yong Hwa on Arirang
Due to the sudden rise in popularity for C.N.BLUE, and especially Yong Hwa after You're Beautiful, Arirang did a special introduction about Yong Hwa and the following is the video on it. Thumbs up to Arirang because it's in English! :):)

Yong Hwa's love? On the episode of Strong Heart that will be shown today, 9th Feb, Yong Hwa talked about his "love at first sight" when he moved away from his hometown in Pusan to Seoul.
Yong Hwa stated, "I didn't know anything about Seoul when I first came but while I was walking on the street I saw a girl and it was love at first sight." "I thought I couldn't miss this chance so I asked her out on the spot"
Everyone was amazed at his surprising confession.
To Yong Hwa's surprise, the girl agreed to the date without any hesitation.
While on the date, Yong Hwa felt, "It was like I finally met my ideal."
However, in the end, he stated that after that day, he wasn't able to contact the girl. The reason was that after finding out the girl's identity, there was no other option but to separate from her.
What kind of identity could it be? What is such a big deal about her identity? There are speculations on the net that, the girl is a trans (means that she was a guy who went under knife) and some other ridiculous speculations that the girl was Jong Hyun (!?).. lol
To know more, we shall wait for today's episode to be out! In the meantime, we are actually sourcing for the eng subbed version of the Strong Heart episode airred last tuesday (2nd Feb) and we will work hard on finding today's episode where Yong Hwa will be telling his story!

Many faces of Yong Hwa!
A fan of Yong Hwa collated different looks/sides of him and named each image a different name! I think it's rather cool how different a person can look with different hair style and clothes! Then, why do i look the same all the time!? :(

C.N.Blue Under Criticism of Shin Hae Chul
The news report,
Rocker Shin Hae-chul, well-known for his straightforward savage criticism against social and pop culture issues, spewed venom again ― this time against four-member band C.N.BLUE.
Shin added fuel to ongoing disputes involving allegations that the group's hit song "I'm a Loner'' off its debut album "Bluetory'' is a copy of an indie band's song.
The hit song has been accused of having "shocking similarities'' with an indie band Ynot's "Blue Bird.''
The fast rising group's song swept the music charts after it was released in mid-January. C.N.BLUE's agency FNC Music has denied the allegations.
On his Web site, Shin posted sarcastic comments that slam C.N.BLUE for alleged plagiarism, Saturday.
"If the song ("I'm a Loner'') is not plagiarism, plagiarism will disappear in the world,'' Shin said.
He also said C.N.BLUE is not entitled to be called a "band.''
"If C.N.BLUE is an indie band, a fly is a bird. If it's a real band, I will retire,'' he said.
His comments are igniting a fresh round of disputes not only over the plagiarism allegations but the appropriateness of Shin's remarks as well.
Internet users have posted lots of comments on his homepage and other Web sites.
The Ynot band members have threatened to file a complaint against C.N.BLUE if it does not make public its position about the plagiarism allegations.
Even though he might be a sunbae in the industry, why does he have to be so mean and opinionated about this. It isn't even his concern!
I bet C.N.Blue oppas would be very upset to read about this!
FNC President, Han Seong Ho, giving statements about C.N.Blue in an interview
Pardon the really bad translation, the following was direct translation from google with some edits. We wil try to find the proper translation soon!
▲ Interest in C.N.Blue is hot. The concept of 'Idol band' seemed to be created. =Band music is great. Good that it can be popular as well, and C.N.Blue can show that it is worthed something. But of course, there is still imperfections. ------------------------------
▲예를 들자면. =항간에는 밴드가 타이틀 곡을 직접 쓰지 않는 걸 지적했다고 들었다. 아직 배우고 있는 단계다. 과정으로 생각해줬으면 좋겠다.
▲for example? = The rumour that certain band has a similar song with the hit song. However, this is a learning phase that I hope to have in the process. ------------------------------
▲ Lets talk more about C.N.Blue. Did you expect such a success? = This quick response was as expected. I think the upcoming next album (??) ttaejjeumyina has burst. I am worried. -----------------------------
▲ What is the worry? = The people’s high expectations of band music. Japan is in fact one in the Indie activities. Pyeolchin activities, but does not formally go to learn. Not enough to evaluate the superiority of the older part of the band a lot. -----------------------------
▲ Popular (??) Jong Yong Hwa = First time I saw him, his eyes were alive. Hong Ki (FT Island Member) was born gifted with vocal abilities. Jung Yong Hwa was trained with effort into a great singer. (???) Yong Hwa’s voice goes well with “Geek In The Pink". ---------------------------------
▲If the members are up to expectations (?) = C.N.Blue both the vocalists, Basketball-wise, Twin Center, said people. I can play music in a variety of colors. The activities of the sub-yijonghyeon singers 'kimembeo' looks to be said. (???) -----------------------------------------
▲ 'independent comparison, had apologized = All of the world Can you hear the music, indie bands. I first heard about in the sense that one geotinde say that was misrepresentation. If you are right or wrong to leave those nasty I'll apologize again. The essence of the problem, but I hope heuriji. (??) ------------------------------------
▲ The future of Korea's band music. = I’m convinced that there is a far way to go. The band's music market juryuda each. Hangukman has been marginalized. Idol group and the band group rating combines the FT Island was the start(?).C.N.Blue has a bright outlook towards their popularity. If possible, I believe that the pop music band can be varied. This is something worth looking forward to in the future.
All the affairs(post #8 , #9 , #33 , #49) started from the netizens and being a netizen ourselves, we can't help but take sides. Initially, i was rather crossed with the composer because it has been portrayed that the fault lies with the composer and not anyone else. But, after listening to what he has got to say, i sympathise with him and i believe that this entire plagiarism issue was just a fake, and a reverse-marketing strategy.
Certain netizens are just green with jealous when some talented bands or groups debut, especially instant high profile one like C.N.BLUE, so these people have got nothing better to do but to stir up problems.
Read the following account by the composer of I'm a Loner, Kim Do Hoon:
“I want to say to all of the music fans and industry professionals that I’m very regretful and sorry to cause everyone such an inconvenience. I was trying to hold back my words, but I couldn’t resist with this crisis. I want everyone to know that the reason I didn’t speak out on these allegations are not because I had nothing to say, or because I was agreeing to the allegations.”
“I debuted in 1995 and in 1998 through Jang Hye Jin’s song “To Eternity (영원으로),” I was able to obtain my first title. Since that for over 10 years I have composed about 300 songs. And out of those songs, about 90 of them were either title songs or follow up songs. Recently, when I read the articles about me, the majority of them are claiming that I made it this far as a plagiarizer. Throughout these 10 plus years, my stance on music has never changed. I have many tracks where there have been no plagiarism allegations. The point I want to make first, is that I didn’t make it this far as a plagiarizer.”
“The plagiarism controversies right now all started from netizen made videos. Right now it’s a trend for people to find similar songs and point it out. Even if it’s not my songs, there are so many videos being created that songs are similar, and out of those videos, there are songs that may be real issues as well as ones that are just the opinions of an individual. But out of those songs, the ones that become a successful song are the only ones that become news articles. It’s the opinion of one person and their video that starts an issue and it becomes a news article, which turns into a plagiarism controversy. Furthermore, the reports make it seem as if the song was deemed plagiarized and that the composer is guilty.”
“The song that has been in the news lately, ‘I’m a loner (외톨이야),’ has only one word that is similar. And the news reports that claimed the chords were the same were inaccurate, nor was the intro the same. Even the chorus melody where it goes, ‘Wae Tol Ee Ya Wae Tol Ee Ya (외톨이야 외톨이야),’ is not similar at all. Only the part where it goes, ‘Dari Diri Daram Do’ is similar, but that melody is also in Country Kko Kko’s ‘Oh Gani’ and Park Sang Min’s ‘Mediterranean Sea (지중해)’. In addition, that melody is also in a song I composed for Ha Dong Kyoon, called ‘Far Far (멀리멀리)’.”
“In Davichi’s ‘8282′ there’s only a similarity in the very beginning of the song, everything after that is totally different. In Kim Jong Kook’s ‘Can’t forget’, there are no similarities in the song, only a slight similarity in the intro. If my words do not make sense, please listen to the tracks again and make a better informed decision. There are so many songs that have a similar word/portion. Even many famous American songs have songs that have the same word or similar sounding portions. If I wanted to kill myself trying to find similar songs, I would be able to find even more songs that are a lot more similar than what the netizens are uploading.”
“Beyond the current controversy surrounding ‘I’m a loner’, there have been many reports that other tracks made by me were similar and plagiarized. Moving forward, if people keep saying songs are plagiarized so easily and uploading videos of small parts that sound similar, it’s not just me but all of the other composers who will not be able to compose freely. Right now there are so many cases of plagiarism that are stirred up by netizens. These issues should be analyzed by a professional and a plagiarism case should only be determined by them. But trying to create and stir an issue using the internet without solid evidence to destroy a composer, I don’t think that’s the right thing to do.”
“I really hope there won’t be anymore cases where composers are cornered into a wall, just because some people think a song is similar sounding. Finally, to all the music fans who have showed interest and love in my songs and to the industry professionals, to all of you, again, I am sorry to have worried and inconvenienced you.”
That was rather long, but it was convincing.
I guess there was really no intentions of plagiarism so everyone should just let the matter rest.
Here are some translations to their interviews on radio shows! Read their story!
Tae Yeon's Chin Chin on 30th Jan, 8:00 pm
Tae Yeon: Congratulations on your being number one. You must take huge phone calls. Yong Hwa: We all don't have cell phones, so we made calls to get congratulations. Tae Yeon: You are newbies, so you are in the period of no cell phones. We girls' generation were the same. Min Hyuk: How long were you not having cell phones? Tae Yeon: A month. CNBLUE : Ahhh / Ohhh / Oooo / Aaaakkk Tae Yeon: What do you mean? too long? or too short? Yong Hwa: Nothing... It's been more than one year since we removed our cell phones. Before we went to Japan, we canceled our phones, because we couldn't afford roaming fee. Now we came back, but we are still living without phones.

Hong Jin Kyung's Gayo Kwangjang on 5th Feb, 12:00pm
Jin Kyung: What's the attractiveness of street performance? Min Hyuk: A concert is what people come to see us on purpose. A street performance is what make people, who don't know us at all, stop their step with our music. Jung Shin: Gathering people is an attractive job. As time goes by, I can see people are increased. Jong Hyun: If I do street performance, I can feel again how much appreciated the fans are who come intentionally to see our concert.
Jin Kyung: Yong Hwa, you did drama, what is the attractiveness of acting? Yong Hwa: A character which consists of paper and type is born to a living person through myself.
Jin Kyung: Don't you have any intimate friends? Yong Hwa: We all don't have cell phones, we've been in Japan for long time, we four are living together now, we never go out of house. Jung Shin: No, we don't have friends. Jong Hyun: Currently FTisland members are the only friends.
Jin Kyung: Jong Hyun, do you have brother or sister? Jong Hyun: Elder sister, 6 years older than me. Jin Kyung: Say hello to your sister. Jong Hyun: Noona, thanks for keep sending me allowance. Please keep it from now on.
Jin Kyung: Do you guys call nicknames to each other? Yong Hwa: We call Jung Shin BD(black dog). At Japan blog, Min Hyuk posted a picture of a black dog and Jung Shin. He titled it 'Two black dogs' Jong Hyun: Min Hyuk looked like a sparrow at music video. So we call him sparrow. Jin Kyung: While I talk with CNBLUE, I am being purified. I used to speak strong words at my radio show. But as I look at you conversating happily with words of sparrow or dog, I become to think I must purify my words.
----------------------------
Isn't it sad that they still don't have a mobile phone? It's worse than being a primary school kid in Singapore! Even primary school kids have handphones nowadays! Feel rather sad for them!
And, it's extremely sad that they are real Loners because they don't have intimate friends! I am more than willing to be their intimate friends! Lol!
It has been some time before we heard any news on it, a big relief for fans, because at least no news means no bad news.
Just yesterday, 5th Feb, there has been some information from FNC side.
“We are worried regarding the widespeard of this plagiarism suspicion controversy. We have been quite until now to gather information, make internal decisions, and prepare for legal actions.”
“First, we want to ask everyone not to use the term ‘plagiarism’ until it is proven in the court that there is plagiarism involved. We believe this problem is only limited to the creators/writers of two songs, which C.N.BLUE had no involvement. But it feels like the media is fabricating the problem as if the problem has direct association with C.N.BLUE. Currently, creators of the song I’m a Loner are in the process of legal actions on this.”
“We are in the process of preparing for legal actions on this matter also. We had met with creators of YNot’s Blue Bird and told them that we will file for legal actions against them when their song is not found as plagiarized. Also, there could have been misunderstanding in what our president had stated regarding indie bands. We have utmost respect for indie bands and if we have caused any misunderstanding, we would like to apoligize.”
“We hope the media play should stop. We tried our best to develop people with utmost talent and love for music. We would like to apologize for any misunderstandings that we have caused.”
Hopefully, light will shine on C.N.BLUE and I'm A Loner soon and all tides will reside for this entire issue.
At the same time, there are gossips on the net saying that, Bluetory (the name of their mini album), is actually "Blue Bird" (the song by Ynot that is involved in this issue).
According to the netizens, "tory" actually means "bird" in Japanese so that explains their guess.
FNC Music replied that the album title ‘Bluetory’ was purely made up by the president of the company and does not have any other meaning.
"Blue" represents C.N.BLUE and "tory" is a Korean word which stands for the “music specialty that each area has” and so, "Bluetory" in general means that "C.N.Blue will be showing their own color in the music industry.”
Even though the gossip does make sense and it is strangely coincidental, i hardly think that there is any connections between the two bands and the two songs.
So whatever it is, netizens should stop creating problems out of nothing. The entire plagiarism issue was started out by them, anyway.
Recently, bnt news has reported about all members of C.N.BLUE liking noonas (older females). This will make all the young fan girls, including myself, extremely sad!
The report:
The C.N.Blue members, who are sweeping the charts in less than 2 weeks of their debut, stated that they all prefer older women.
On 2nd February at 12pm, on Choi HwaJung’s Power Time radio, the DJ asked them if they are more attracted to older or younger women to find out their personal styles, and all the members replied, “older women.”
Lee JungShin stated, “People who are younger than m I think won’t be able to lead me, so I’m a bit scared about that.” Lee JongHyun replied, “Maybe it’s because all the women I have dated until now was older, I think my ideal girl is someone sophisticated that I lean on to.”
Kang MinHyuk said, “I like noonas because I have a sister and since I don’t have that much money, I like noonas that buys me yummy things.” The leader Jung YongHwa stated, “Actually I don’t really mind older or yonger women, but I will choose older women for our teamwork.”
For the “love at first sight” types, the CN Blue members choose a feminine style, but Jung YongHwa said that he preferred, “feminine, but still someone who I can feel the cuteness,” and Lee JungShin said, “feminine, but still having that made up mind.”
Also, on this radio show, CN Blue members sang the parody versions of the song ‘I’m a Loner’ winning a loud applause from the audience. In addition, the members chose Lee JongHyun as the most good looking and the man that seemed to have watched the most erotic films. Before the show, the members even took selcas and posted it up on the homepage and didn’t forget to prepare their signed CDs for their listeners.
Younger girls can be mature, feminine, cute, can buy good food and can be reliable too! But anyway, why do these boys want to lean on girls? I though it should be the other way round?
And, it is totally unbelievable that Jong Hyun is seen as the one who watches most R-rated films because he has such a good boy image and he is shy!
Whatever it is, i am sure C.N.BLUE won't turn down younger girls if they really like them. They are too busy to date right now, anyway :)
We will say the truth. The interest on C.N Blue started from Jung YongHwa. The fantasy drama created by the Hong Sisters, ‘You’re Beautiful’ didn’t get nearly close to the view ratings for IRIS, but still, in many ways; this drama had its own specialties. One of it being that the drama carried the face of the new star, Jung YongHwa.
Jung YongHwa starred as the guitarist in the popular band A.N.JELL. Whenever the female lead, MiNyu, was stuck in a situation, he played the role of the fantasy character that would come and save her without any words, gaining the interest of many. But later you could find out that he was the leader for the soon to debut band, C.N Blue. The rumors that they were a band that already had 2 albums out and also those they were highly skilled had interested many. What? They were going to stand as the band group in a place dominated by ‘entertaining’ idol groups? This was the reason that we invited these 4 guys despite of their practice for their upcoming showcase.
Jung YongHwa, Lee JongHyun, Kang MinHyuk, Lee JungShin. The C.N Blue members that dominated the set were first of all, very tall. The long legs and arms and the good looking faces wasn’t a band, but more like flower boy idols. No, if you compared their faces to idols we met so far, their visual appearance belonged in a higher level. The members greet us in a nervous and excited faces. The person leading the mood was oldest, and the leader, Jung YongHwa.
The filming started first with his solo cuts. As if acting helped him to get accustomed to the camera, he stated to pose very comfortably. He laughs and jokes around with the staff members and smiles a lot because he doesn’t like awkward moods. He seems like the guy who loves people and disregards the flaws of a person.
Next up to the camera was Lee JongHyun. He was the same BuSan person like YongHwa, and he even considers YongHwa as a brother. When he smiles, he looks like ‘Matimoto Joon’ (a Japanese actor). However, he had the manly side that answered every question clean, and dry. With the face similar to a Japanese actor and the quietness of a man from Kyung SanDo, he was interesting. The 91-ers that entered together, Kang MinHyuk and Lee JungShin were still very shy. Being their first photo shoot, the nervousness was still there, but they focus hard on the words of the photographer. From a glance you can tell that they were the kind dongsaengs that used formal tones to their hyungs. Kang MinHyuk had the surprising formal adult side to him and the serious Lee JungShin turns out to be the happy, fun kid that spreads happiness on to the set.
Due to the serious and sincere models, the filming continued on without a problem and the photographer finally showed the okay sign. Weren’t they too serious and quiet for new stars to be debuting soon? We even questioned if they were the same guys with so much charisma on the Live Japan House shows. However these were the guys determined the let the public know of band music where everything is set on the idol music. If we borrowed the words of MiSil, they were the guys dreamed of an ‘overly high blue’ dream. It could be their secret weapon that they will show everything with their skills. Then the interview started with C.N Blue, who was waiting in the start line quietly in the midst of all the screaming.
[EG] How did the four of you guys end up meeting each other? YongHwa: We were all fans of music and interested in bands. In detail, we were chosen by the casting director and through an audition, we ended up getting into FNC Music. I was first an internet ullzzang (laughs), and the casting director came down to BuSan after seeing my picture in an ullzzang site. JongHyun: I found out about this later, but that same casting director met with me after meeting with YongHwa hyung. I liked singing since I was little, and since I was learning music then, I was really happy to get that chance. YongHwa: The three of us without JungShin and a lot of other people went to that audition. Since JongHyun was also from BuSan, we connected as soon as we met, and MinHyuk caught my eyes because he was dressed in his school uniform. You know, because most of the people who come to auditions dressed really nicely. MinHyuk: On that day the hyungs sang really well. I thought I was going to be eliminated. We got to know each other then and even called each other. We asked each other, “Did you get contacted?” But the funny thing is, the 3 of us were accepted. JungShin: Because of my brother who is a music maniac, I was influenced and I always had an MP3 in my ears. In high school I fell in love with photography, and when I was out in HongDae for a photo shoot, I was contacted by the casting director. In the beginning of C.N Blue, one first left because of personal issues so I just ended up joining naturally. I was really nervous, but the hyungs and the same age MinHyuk took care of me well.
[EG] Unlike others, you guys start out as an indie band in Japan YongHwa: It wasn’t something formal that we went to Japan to be in a band, but we went to Japan to study where the idea of a band is more recognized. It was the idea of our company, but we were interested because it was a chance for us to improve on our skills. JongHyun: Skills are skills, but we saw and listened to a lot. And at first none of us could speak Japanese. But in order to survive out there we needed to learn Japanese. By the end, we ended up learning the simple conversations without a problem.
[EG] If you guys can choose any memorable episodes in Japan? YongHwa: There are so many. At one point we even had a robber come into our place, but that person didn’t steal anything, but just took a shower there. We didn’t have anything he could take anyway. MinHyuk: More than anything, our performances on the streets were memorable. As many of you know, in Tokyo, the transportation fees are expensive. In the summer we would have to carry our guitar, drums, and lamps all by ourselves. JongHyun: At one point we were taken to the police station during our performance. As if we were the president, we were guarded by the police on the way there. It was the biggest police station in Harajuku, but the place was so nice like a café. YongHwa: I was so serious, but these guys were taking pictures and joking around with the police officers. (LOL)
[EG] Didn’t you guys ever think “Why are we doing this in Japan?” JongHyun: Never. Since it was what we liked to do, we enjoyed it. YongHwa: We thought that it was hard, but we never wanted to quit. We needed to put in our efforts to gain skills, and without the skills, we wouldn’t have even been recognized.
[EG] YongHwa first became an actor by participating in the drama, “You’re Beautiful” YongHwa: I came on the plane to Korea and did the audition. I never had acted before, but the fact that I was an actual guitarist in a band earned me some points. But the director or the writers never told me why they chose me.
[EG] It shouldn’t be easy acting for the first time. YongHwa: Jang GeunSuk, Park ShinHye, Lee HongKi were all pros since they were young, and I thought to myself, “Wasn’t I just a raw amateur?” I never rested from the 1st to the 16th episodes. So aside from the sleeping I took the scripts anywhere with me and memorized the lines. Because the role of Kang ShinWoo is already handsome, I think that is why the public view it so well. MinHyuk: In real life, he is a really fun hyung, but I was surprised seeing him act on TV. Of course the funny hyung was nice too. JungShin: We called him often monitoring his drama. “Hyung, we are enjoying this. But, for us to see it is a bit embarrassing.”
[EG] Since you already came in the entertainment world, you should have been less nervous YongHwa: Drama or other programs, I’m nervous everyday about my schedule. And since I have my C.N Blue members with me, I’m really full. The solo activities are what Jung YongHwa showed, but now I will put in my all to show C.N Blue. JongHyun: Hyung taught us a lot of tips. Yesterday he told us what to do for today. YongHwa: I’m a newbie too, but I started first. In order to show more of that pro side, I told them let’s show our best. I’m the leader, but there is nothing I have to be mad about. We all match each other well.
[EG] JongHyun has an image that matches the band well JongHyun: Like a guitar maniac? Haha. Before I used to listen to R&B and HipHop. Getting into a band made me research more about bands, and I started falling in love with band music. I really want to meet the Japanese band “Bump of Chicken”
[EG] In the teaser that was released, you had that tough image JongHyun: I like that concept. Every day I try to act more manly. I need to focus on my manly side more if I want to appear that way. YongHwa: JongHyun doesn’t have that fiery personality because he is a BuSan man, but he doesn’t get really mad. JongHyun: I’m the only O type blood while the other members have A type blood. When the three of them get mad at each other, I’m the one who is laughing. Especially, YongHwa hyung is a Triple A blood type (meaning that he gets mad often) (LOL)
[EG] MinHyuk looks like a naïve student. We can’t imagine him playing the drums. MinHyuk: When people first see me, they would think I am awkward and boring. But since young, I loved doing active sports. I bet I can do better in Sports like soccer, baseball, basketball than my members. I’m pretty sure I could show my powerful drummer sides. YongHwa: MinHyuk has the clean personality so he cleans the room in Japan. He is nice to everyone around him and he didn’t change at all from the time I first met him. (Minhyuk's is known as CNBlue's mother, btw)
[EG] He seems quiet, but very popular around girls YongHwa: That is right. I always talk a lot around girls, but when MinHyuk is quiet; all the girls are like “he is so cute!” Are you guys that happy just looking at him?
[EG] JungShin in the youngest in the team, but is the tallest JungShin: When I was a freshman in high school I was stressed out because I was so small. After entering high school, I grew 10cm every year and now, I am above 187cm. They said that my growth hormone is still active. The doctor told me that if I want to stop growing, stop playing sports and just play my bass. (laughs) (So tall ._.)
[EG] We also heard that you are very greedy when it comes to clothes JungShin: It happens to me and YongHwa. When we get into our dorms and do online shopping, we ask each other, “How does this look?” When I lay down to sleep, I think of what shirts and pants to wear tomorrow.
[EG] You seemed really serious, but after talking for a while you seem a bit 4-D JungShin: Since I tend to stay away from strangers, people tell me that I seem scary. But once I get to know someone, I’m really friendly and nice to them. YongHwa: JungShin’s world is really different. When you are with him, you end up feeling happy too. JungShin came in late, but we are happy to have a skilled rapper and bass player.
[EG] On January 14th, the Bluetory album is released. What kind of songs are in it and which songs do you recommend? YongHwa: If you mention band in Korea, most people think of rock. We are putting the alternative rock feel, with ballad, hiphop, and rap. There are 5 songs on our mini album. The title song, “I’m A Loner,” the song I contributed on the lyrics, “Y, Why,” and songs like “Now or Never” that we translated into Korean. We think it is an album that anyone can enjoy without and heavy feelings.
[EG] The thing that you guys are focused on the most, is it the showcase? YongHwa: We are practicing day and night. I think we don’t have enough songs though. We are really nervous since this will be our first performance. I also went around telling everyone when I was in Korea first, so I’m feeling anxious. But I know that we will do well.
[EG] Don’t you guys want to dance and show extravagant performance like the other guys around your age? YongHwa: The songs aren’t songs that you can simply dance to and the bigger problem is that, dancing is like rat poison for us. (laughs) We will become the band that shines the most when we have our instruments. If we wanted to be dancers, we wouldn’t have gone to a band company in the first place.
[EG] The moment you guys have been dreaming of is in front of your eyes, what do you guys each want? MinHyuk: I wish that our first step will be a good one. Too plain for you? That is all I can think of JungShin: That our album will be widely known and loved by many. Being more greedy, I want win the newcomer award at the awards this year JongHyun: It will be great to get C.N Blue loved, but I hope that people will enjoy rock music more. It will be better if Korean band industry can improve because of us and think comfortably of us. We will make stages so that all of us can jump around and play. YongHwa: From the start we won’t be able to show all of our music, and all of our sides. Step by step we will work on it. Until we become the grandpa band.
Radio Interview Summary
As you know, CNBLUE did many radio shows. I can't even count how many they were. I learned a lot about them. Let me summarize it.
Yong Hwa went to ski resort with parents and friends, took some pictures. He posted some of them at his mini hompy. Some random people copied them to famous Uljjang(handsome face) cafe (=Best Nine) He was chosen as Uljjang, became so famous with those ski photos. Many casting managers and random visitors came to school to see him. One day he saw audition ad of FNC, so he came to Seoul to take audition. He has learned guitar for many years, and liked to sing, already skilled in singing and guitar.
Jong Hyun has similar experience, he took pictures with his friend's baby sister. His friend posted it to Uljjang cafe (Best Nine too). He was selected as Uljjang. One day, FNC casting manager left a message at his mini hompy saying to come to take audition. He came to Seoul to take audition, and met Yong Hwa at Seoul station for the first time. He was learning guitar and vocal at pop music institute already, enough to take audition.
Myn Hyuk was learning piano and flute, he was much interested in music. He once had received a namecard from FNC casting manager in front of his high school. He didn't trust that person, just ignored it. But some days later, he saw FTisland at TV and found their company FNC was the same company that gave him the namecard. So he went to FNC and took audition.
These 3 people took audition on the same day. There were many many applicants, but only these 3 people passed. That's how CNBLUE was made. It was early of year 2007. Since that day, Yong Hwa and Jong Hyun have lived together. It's been 3 years already.
